Organic Lea: Inspired by the connections that real food creates

Organic Lea is a community food project in the Lea Valley, on the edges of London. Organised as a workers' cooperative, it grows and distributes organic food and plants and supports others to grow their own food through sharing skills and resources. The project currently receives funding from the Making Local Food Work programme and Local Food, as well as a number of smaller local grants.

Grow Heathrow: From a protest camp to a thriving community

On 1st March 2010, a number of climate change activists swooped on an abandoned market garden site in Sipson, near Heathrow Airport, London. The site has since been transformed from "a derelict mess" into "a beacon of community strength and a great example of how to live sustainably on this planet," as the people involved describe it.
